Community Groups
Here is a listing and description of some of the many social, support and activist groups at the UU Society.
• Shifting Gears: discussion/support group for people having to cope with an unexpected situation, meets the 1st Tuesdays at 1:30 p.m.
• Joseph Campbell Round Table: discussion of myth, story and symbol as they manifest in and affect the direction of our personal lives and the lives of our communities both small and large. Meets on 3rd Thursdays at 7:30 p.m.

• Covenant Groups: these are groups that commit to meet on a regular basis and discuss/explore such topics as social justice, UU history, culture & other special interests. Current groups are: Family Friendly Animal Rights, Great Questions, Root Beers and Queers, Paganism 101, Vegan/Vegetarian Potluck and the Young Adult Group. Contact our Director of Religious Education to find out if there is space in one that interests you.
• Heights Emergency Food Center: every 4th Thursday from 5:30-7:30 p.m., we volunteer at the Food Center, packing, sorting, measuring food for needy families in the Heights area. Euclid Avenue Christian church on Mayfield Road (east of Taylor Rd.).
• Earth-Centered Spirituality Group: the Earth-Centered Spirituality group meets monthly to learn, to teach, to create and celebrate ritual in the Earth-Centered Spirituality tradition. We welcome with open hearts, those of like mind and heart, to join our group, to participate on their own level, to explore the many paths of Earth-Centered Spirituality.
• Newcomer Orientation, Second Sunday of even months, 1:00-3:00 p.m.
• UUSC Choir with rehearsals every Sunday, 9:00-10:45 a.m., and second and fourth Tuesdays, 8:00-9:30 p.m.
