Minister

Minister Colin Bossen with a congregation memberRev. Colin Bossen is the first full-time minister of the Society in over thirty years. Prior to coming to the Society he served congregations in Pennsylvania and California. If you are interested in learning more about the congregation please feel free to contact him. Minister Emerita

Rev. Peggy Clason served as part-time minister of the UU Society for 17 years. She was unanimously approved as Minister Emerita after her retirement in 2005. Rev. Clason brings warmth and light to our community through her continued involvement at the UU Society of Cleveland.

Director of Religious Education

Nathan Staples is the UU Society's Director of Religious Education since July, 2008. He works with the Religious Education Committee to provide rich and creative lifespan religious education for the UU Society. Nathan's office hours are 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Sundays and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on Wednesdays.

Commissioned Lay Leader

Amy Collins is a lifelong UU and was installed as Commissioned Lay Leader in 2005. Amy is Chair of the Worship Committee. She works with the minister and the worship team to create weekly professional and lay led worship services that inspire a diverse spiritual community. Amy's training and qualifications enable her to officiate weddings, commitment ceremonies, and funerals.

Administrator

Carol Splaver has more than 30 years' experience working in journalism, advertising and public relations, and offices for a synagogue, religious school, Jewish Community Center and free-lancing. She and her husband, Harvey, are the parents of college-age son and daughter. She has been with UUSC since October, 2007, when she came to the office as a temporary employee. Call her for renting building or parking space, administrative and billing questions, items for The Flame or The Beacon, or just to say hello. Carol's office hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesdays, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Wednesdays and 11 a.m.-6 p.m.

Membership Coordinator

Kelsey Flescher is a resident of Mentor, Lake County, and a graduate of Youngstown State University where she studied English and violin. Prior to becoming Membership Coordinator she served a year as an AmeriCorps VISTA Volunteer in Southern West Virginia. Her interests include music, community development, and food: growing, cooking and—most of all—eating it.

Facilities Manager

Joel Prater has been the Society's Facilities Manager since the autumn of 2009.
