Visitors - Our Beliefs

Picture of helping and caring for othersAlmost five hundred years ago the Translyvanian Unitarian minister Francis David said "We need not think alike to love alike." Today this dictum continues to capture much of the spirit of Unitarian Universalism. Our tradition is a non-creedal faith. We understand that religious and spiritual beliefs are largely derived from personal experiences and cultural contexts. We do not ask the members of our congregation to subscribe to a specific set of beliefs. Instead we encourage each in a free search for meaning. As members of a Unitarian Universalist congregation we pledge to accompany each other on life's journey and seek, together, to build a more just world.

The Unitarian Universalist Association has seven principles and six sources we use to help organize our community life together and guide our spiritual quest. For more information on these please visit the Our Principles page.
